NO TRIATHLON, NO LIFE

Hi guys,

1 – As you know, I must finish my doctoral thesis by this August. I share with you one part of what I wrote in the “acknowledgments” session, Basically, I say THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! 博士論文を書いています。Gullsのメンバーからお協力を貰った、本当にありがとうございました！「北広島の日、アンケート」

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the members of Gulls - Hiroshima University Triathlon Team. With you I experienced firsthand the importance of perseverance and continuous effort to accomplish one’s goals. Being part of this group made my student life in Hiroshima University incredibly better and more meaningful. In addition, I am indebted with you for your support in the research activities of this project related to the revitalization of rural areas in Hiroshima Prefecture. None of these activities would have been possible without your active and enthusiastic involvement.

2 – Something nice of triathlon is that it becomes a necessity. It is difficult to stop doing, especially when it is something you enjoy. I will not go to competition this summer, but I like to keep training whenever I can. It is good for relieving stress, keep my mental health make my mind work better. NO TRIATHLON, NO LIFE いい頭の調子は必要ね。

3- It is 4 years that I have been already in Gulls (May 2013 with captain Inoue). But I started as Hirodai student on October 2012. Then, which year? David 23, David 24? I never knew!! Thus, I am only David (without number). ２０１２の１０月から、広大の大学院生です。

２０１３の５月から、Gullsのメンバーに担った。

David 23, David 24? David だけです。

4 - In triathlon, as in life, we all have ups and downs. It is a normal thing.

But when you look back in time, we find ourselves better and more capable than before. And, there is always room for improvement. THE SKY IS THE LIMIT. 時々、練習が難しそうですから、絶え間ない練習をして、上手になることできます。

5. During practice we all learn from each other. It is a NON-STOP LEARNING process. いつでも、学ぶことがありますね。
